Balearean Boc
The Environmental and Hunting Department of the Govern de les Illes Balears is the one in charge of regulating the hunting of the Balearean Boc/Balearic Goat and it safeguards the strict performance of the rules which affect the big game of the islands. It also grants the seals which accompany every hunted boc/goat and homologates the trophies. This specie is recognised by the Safari Club International (SCI) and at present it appears in the Gran Slam 20 of goats which may be hunted.
The possibility to hunt the Balearean Boc/Balearic Goat grants the island with another incentive; the big game. This activity together with the small game of partridges, pheasants, woodcocks and others, plus de deep-sea fishing and the many tourist attractions of Majorca make any stay an unforgettable experience. The King Sancho Balearic Slam is a recognition of the hunter as a nature lover who during a one year period, achieves to hunt a specie of each modality; two of small and big game and deep-sea fishing.
